Movies in LA

Los Angeles is known as the movie industry. Its "dream factories" employ over 60,000 people and inject about $4 billion a year into the LA economy. Hollywood Boulevard has lost much of its charm, and some film companies have moved to cheaper locations. However, the air of Hollywood, the dream-making machine, still persists, where new talents can be discovered at any moment.

Today, filmmakers use not only constructed sets, but also typical Los Angeles locations to shoot their films , such as the Santa Monica Pier in the movie "Cell." Many of these locations have become familiar to the public, and when you visit them, you'll remember them. You might even see one of these filming locations while you're strolling around here.

The contracts with the actors are worth millions; for example, Tom Hanks demands up to 20 million dollars per film, a salary 100 times greater than the salary of the President of the USA.

Last week, I had the opportunity to see an event on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for the launch of the movie The Hobbit. The film's stars were right there on the avenue signing autographs and taking selfies with fans.
