1. Anderson Silva faces Nick Diaz in the main event of UFC 183 on January 31, 2015.

On his Facebook page, Anderson 'The Spider' Silva said:

"Next Saturday, January 31st, is D-Day. The day of my return to the UFC octagon. You can follow my training, my preparation, exclusive photos and much more at www.spiderlifeshow.com"

We're all in this together, guys!

Training, training, and more training. There's no secret to success; what endures is dedication.

Anderson da Silva, born in 1975, has 3 sons and 2 daughters with his wife, Dayane.

She lives and has her academy in Torrance, California.

He is Brazilian, an MMA fighter, and a former UFC middleweight champion. Silva holds the record for the longest title defense streak in UFC history, which ended in 2013 with 16 consecutive wins. He has been called the greatest MMA fighter of all time.

Born into a poor family, Silva spent most of his childhood with his aunt and uncle, an officer in the Curitiba police force.

Silva began training Jiu-Jitsu with neighborhood children who could afford lessons, while he had to learn on his own. At the age of thirteen, his family managed to save enough money to pay for Tae Kwon Do lessons, and from then on he became interested in Capoeira, before deciding on Muay Thai at the age of sixteen.

Happening in Vegas

The biggest events and attractions are in Las Vegas, which is now considered the entertainment capital.

We will have two events in Vegas that will be the main topic of headlines in the coming days, weeks, and months:

Before becoming a professional fighter, Silva worked at McDonald's and also as an archivist. He considers Spider-Man a personal hero and has a declared love for superheroes and comic books.

Although known for his mastery of Muay Thai, Silva is also a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and Judo, a yellow belt in Capoeira, and is a professional boxer.

Silva made his professional debut in 1997, with a couple of wins. He fought and won in Japan and other parts of the world, such as England.

Relatively unknown in the United States, he had a fantastic debut in 2006 and was crowned the new UFC middleweight champion. From then on, he had many important victories in various American states.

On July 6, 2013, he fought Chris Weidman, losing by knockout.

The rematch against Weidman took place on December 28th, and Silva lost by technical knockout after suffering a serious injury (he had his left fibula and tibia broken).

Silva underwent orthopedic surgery, which was a success!

Contrary to the opinion of many and proving once again that dreams can always come true, Silva is ready to win his next fight!!!

2. Rock in Rio in May 2015

ROCK IN RIO helps change the world with the PROJECT FOR A BETTER WORLD.

Rock in Rio is a vehicle for communicating emotions and causes. Using music as a universal language, it harnesses its power to bring people together, not only to move the audience but also to impact the lives of those in need.

It was from the 3rd edition of Rock in Rio, in 2001, that the "For a Better World" project was consolidated; it was created to use the power of the festival to motivate people to seek improvements in life through changes in their daily routine.

98 million people united in a simple gesture, but with a powerful meaning: 3 minutes of silence, all coming together for a better world.

Since 2001, part of the festival's revenue has been used for social projects; more than 11 million euros have been invested in social initiatives and environmental preservation.

Music, awareness, and action. That's Rock in Rio.

Roberto Medina, the mastermind behind Rock in Rio, known as The Wizard of Rock, has a well-deserved reputation for audacity – and stubbornness too. A producer who first made his name in advertising, Medina is always chasing dreams. He knows that challenges are meant to be overcome, and he doesn't know the meaning of the word impossible. He made Rock in Rio the biggest music festival in the world.

Roberto Medina designed and built Rock City, an innovative and gigantic 61-acre complex. This included an original lighting system focused on the audience—a feature that honors the fans and has now become a global trend.

The first Rock in Rio, in 1985, attracted approximately 1.4 million people.

In 1991, the festival took place at the Maracanã stadium. Three thousand bright lights were installed, 480 of them strategically positioned on the roof, including airplane spotlights. This was A-ha's performance in 1991, with approximately 200,000 people packed into the stadium. There was so much love for the music that it made it into the Guinness Book of World Records!

It was broadcast to 55 countries. 580 million viewers watched live over 9 days of shows.

7,451,600 people have attended the 14 Rock in Rio festivals over the years, featuring 1,274 artists.

Rock in Rio 2013 brought together more than ten million fans online, but through the internet, 1 billion people have watched Rock in Rio so far.

In total, the 14 editions of the festival generated almost 150,000 jobs.

Did you know that the official Rock in Rio website received over 4 million hits throughout the 2013 festival? The project reached a budget of 23 million dollars.

It was time to pack our bags and set off in search of new challenges, and to expand our horizons to further the dream. Roberto Medina decided that Portugal was the perfect destination for Rock in Rio.

More than 700 journalists from around the world picked up their pens to cover this festival, designed in a multi-genre format unlike any other on the planet.

In 2013, the entire festival was sold out online in just four hours.
